Arrest of theft suspect

Good Afternoon,

This afternoon, police received a report of a shop theft on Doncaster Road, with the suspect fleeing the scene.

An immediate area search was carried out by a neighbourhood officer and patrol units. A short time later, the suspect was located hiding in a ten-foot alleyway and was swiftly detained.

The male has been arrested on suspicion of five shop theft offences and is currently en route to Birchin Way custody suite
